Snake Pit

Team Game ⚫ 5 Blindfolded Players ⚫ 5 Participating Players ⚫ 1 Extra Player ⚫ 2 minutes Blindfolded ⚫ Played either indoors or outdoors

You need a stop watch and several ropes which you lay out across the play area, having them cross over each other randomly, creating a mesh of ropes. This is the snake pit. Divide the group up into teams of about 10 players each. One team is selected to go first, half the team are blindfolded and paired with a partner who can see. When the game starts, the stop watch is started and the first pair from the team start off. The partner who can see must verbablly direct their blindfolded partner across the snake pit. If the blindfolded partner steps on a snake, they must start again. Once they have made it through, the next pair start their turn. The first pair then go back to the back of their team queue, the blindfolded player then swaps places with their guide, so the guide becomes the blindfolded player. (Someone who isn't on any team should do the blindfolding, so there is no cheating) Once everyone in the team has been a guide and a blindfolded player and made it through the Snake Pit, the stop watch is stopped and the time noted down. The next team then takes their turn. The team who has the quickest time is the winning team.
